When I Was One

When I was One,
I had only just begun.
When I was Two,
I caught the flu.
Three?
I hugged a tree.
When I was Four,
I became a bore.
When I was Five,
I learned to dive.
But now I am Six,
I’m as clever as clever,
So I think I’ll stay six, and make people question whether poems should rhyme.
